The National Energy Administration said China added 180 GW of renewable capacity in Jan–Sep, accounting for 71.7% of all new power builds; wind and solar made up nearly 70% of new additions. Total renewable installed capacity reached 2,518 GW at end‑September, up 14.6% YoY and representing about 60.94% of national installed capacity; photovoltaic is now the largest generation category by capacity.
