Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 685.82 points (1.08%) to 63,954.19 on Oct 28, led by chip stocks. South Korea's KOSPI jumped 374.10 points (6.63%) to 6,012.44 on Oct 28, reclaiming the 6,000 level after 10 trading days; SK Hynix gained nearly 11% and Samsung Electronics about 9%.
