CPCA secretary-general Cui Dongshu said CPCA manufacturers' forecast team expects that, barring unexpected policy or environmental shifts, short-term shocks reversing, easing cost pressure and improved supply-side product competitiveness should allow the 2027 China auto market to bottom and recover. The team forecasts domestic retail growth in a 0%–5% range, with a mean of 2%, and expects further market divergence.
