The SFC has approved the world’s first publicly offered tokenized funds to trade on SFC-licensed virtual asset trading platforms (VATPs). Two existing SFC-recognized tokenized money-market funds began 24/7 secondary-market trading today. Initial products are primarily tokenized MMFs. The SFC will closely monitor trading activity and, as market developments and accumulated experience warrant, consider broadening the permitted product scope.
