CFTC data showed that in the week to Oct. 20 speculative net short positions in CBOT U.S. Treasury futures fell across the curve: 2-year net shorts down 54,796 contracts to 856,783; 10-year net shorts down 23,809 contracts to 964,293; 5-year net shorts down 6,095 contracts to 1,074,109.
