CNBC reports OpenAI is nearing a pre-IPO bridge round seeking a $1.25tn pre-money valuation and up to $30bn, with UAE investors and Coatue co-leading. The company told investors it aims to sign agreements by the end of next week, though final size remains undecided. CFO Sarah Friar has informed employees OpenAI may IPO in 2027. OpenAI is also negotiating a commercial deal to secure additional compute capacity from the UAE.
