Hong Kong stocks slid at mid-session. The Hang Seng fell 2.87% to 22,971.93, breaching the 23,000 level; the Hang Seng TECH dropped 4.64% to 3,809.5, off more than 30% year-to-date. Optical communications, PCB and electronic equipment components led losses and tech names were broadly sold; nearly all Hang Seng and Hang Seng TECH constituents were lower, with only Midea Group (00300.HK) marginally up. Selected movers: Yangtze Optical Fibre & Cable (06869.HK) down >10%; Tianshu Zhixin (09903.HK) down >9%; Lenovo Group (00992.HK) and Zhipu Technology (02513.HK) down >8%; WuXi Biologics (02269.HK) and Huahong Hongli (01347.HK) down >7%; NetEase (09999.HK) and MINIMAX-W (00100.HK) down >6%; CATL (03750.HK) and Alibaba (09988.HK) down about 6%. Top risers included Naodong Jiguang-B (06681.HK) up 48.3%, Shandong Molong (00568.HK) up 3.8% and Wuyi Vision (06651.HK) up >2%.
