LG Electronics reported Q3 revenue of KRW 23.827 trillion, up 8.9% YoY, and operating profit of KRW 781.8 billion, up 13.5% YoY, below market expectations of over KRW 1 trillion. Home appliances and auto parts remained stable, TV benefited from OLED high-end demand and growth in emerging markets, while HVAC — positioned as a new growth engine — saw margins compress due to higher expenses. Seoul-listed shares fell more than 8% intraday after the results.
