Israeli sources said on Oct. 5 Omani co-pilot Hamam Hamami told investigators and in court his motive for the cockpit incident on a Dubai airline flight was "revenge for Gaza." The sources said Hamami, during a multinational interrogation in the UAE, admitted he deliberately chose the Israel-bound flight and attempted to crash the aircraft as a premeditated act of revenge. Israeli and Emirati officials have not confirmed the account.
