Oct 5 — Huawei and Qualcomm agreed a multi-year, broad patent licensing deal that includes cross-licenses across 5G, computing, artificial intelligence and networking patent portfolios, and provides for Qualcomm to acquire certain Huawei U.S. patents. The transaction is subject to required regulatory approvals. Both parties said the agreement underscores shared support for intellectual property protection and licensing on fair, reasonable and non‑discriminatory (FRAND) terms.
