On Sept. 29, the main works of Hainan commercial space launch site Phase II were completed and joint rehearsals began. The project built two general-purpose medium liquid-fuel launch pads capable of supporting two-stage rockets up to 5m in diameter, including Long March-12B. Following additional rehearsals and testing, the two pads are scheduled to attain launch capability within the year.
