Valentin Debise, riding for Chinese motorcycle maker "Zhang Xue Motorcycles", qualified eighth and started from the third row in the WorldSBK WorldSSP opening race at the Italian round (Round 10). The start was red-flagged after a collision; the restarted race was shortened to 13 laps. Debise finished fourth in the first race.
