Brazilian President Lula said on Sept. 16 he plans to tell U.S. President Trump at next week’s U.N. General Assembly not to interfere in Brazil’s election. Lula told a campaign event he will travel to the U.N. on Sept. 20 for meetings and to speak with Trump; Brazilian officials have not confirmed a Lula–Trump meeting. The UNGA general debate opens Sept. 22.
