Long-term JGB yields climbed to a 30-year high as rising energy costs and an unresolved Middle East conflict lifted inflation concerns and the prospect of faster tightening by the BANK OF JAPAN. Investors are watching developments after Saudi Arabia began repairing a key oil pipeline closed following last week's drone attack. 10-year JGB yield rose 4.5bps to 3.030%, the highest since Sep 1996. The BANK OF JAPAN is expected to raise its policy rate later this week to address rising inflation risks.
