Yemen government said on the evening of Oct 15 local time that Houthi forces attacked Ma'ashiq Palace in the southern temporary capital Aden, killing five and wounding 16, including security personnel and government staff. Prime Minister Shaya Muhsin Zindani was chairing a government meeting at the palace; most cabinet members and other officials were in attendance. Zindani said the government will continue to perform its duties and remain in contact with the public. Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sarea said the strike on what he called the Aden "Saudi enemy military operations command" "falls within established scope and is a legitimate strike." Ma'ashiq Palace is the president's residence and the government office in Aden.
